Daddy's Angel of Mercy

A new life had just entered the world and I held her in my arm

And I made a silent promise to try my best to keep her safe from harm

With big blue eyes that would set any new dad's heart aglow

Never realizing as I looked at her how quickly my little angel would grow...


I would watch her care for her dolls...a game she would often play

And listen as she would tell them that she was there and they were going to be OK

A child's game of pretend which she would play just for fun

But as time went by I began to see that she would become one of God's chosen one...


To give her all to those in need who's life may suddenly end

An angel of mercy to a dying soul...a special person God has send

Risking it all...not for glamour that so many yearn to gain

But simply because of their love of others and to help to ease their pain...


I can no longer protect her as she crawls inside a mangled wreck

To stabilize and rescue someone who may possibly have a broken neck

Or be with her as she holds an infant who will never again see the sun

For now my little angel is not playing with dolls and this is no longer a game or fun...


Each time I hear her roll on a 911 in my heart I silently pray

That God will be by her side and keep her safe another day

For He has called her and she has answered to be one of the best

She is now "your little angel"...an angel of mercy with the EMS...

Namozine Fire & EMS, INC.
We are a  Volunteer Fire & EMS department that serve Dinwiddie
County, Virginia. We are responsible for over 5500 homes in our area
along with several big businesses and organizations. We also protect
several Churches, daycare centers, and adult homes in our response
district.
Namozine Support Team
We have a team of support members. They train with the department.
They respond to fire calls and prepare rehab for the firefighters. They
support the department in helping with fund raisers, dinners, and other
various activities.
Namozine Ladies Auxiliary
We are supported by the Ladies Auxiliary. They have raffles and fund
raisers throughout the year. In June, they held a car wash, pancake
breakfast, and yard sale. They have in the past held spaghetti dinner
in our Education Building.
