Company 4 responded to a structure fire on Coleman's Lake Road to assist Companies 2 and 1. Unfortunately, the fire had progressed too far upon arrival to save the home. But, on the positive side the fire was not very hot for extinguishment activities and nobody was in the home at the time of the fire.

Thanksgiving Day was very busy for Company 4 due in part to locally heavy rain. The day ended with a motor vehicle accident northbound at the 61 mile marker. The vehicle uprooted a sizeable cedar tree and required a bit of tree trimming and some minor extrication to remove one of the occupants. Responding were Engine 4, Truck 4, and Medic units 42 and 12.

Much like a sighting of the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot, many myths are difficult to confirm. However, we have photographic proof of the legendary coffee pot of Truck 4. While on scene at a recent call, cameras were able to document that the stories are true.

This morning at about 0815 hours a bus with singer Miley Cyrus's tour group overturned on Interstate 85 South. Companies 4 and 1 responded. Truck 4's crew stabilized the vehicle to allow the victim of the incident to be removed.

We would like to thank all of the folks that came to visit the 2009 Haunted Forest. We appreciate all who dared to enter whether they are nearby neighbors or those that drove long distances. The weather was not the best this year but we still had a tremendous turnout. This year's forest will not soon be forgotten.
Not only is thanks due to those that went through the forest, but the event itself would not have been what it was without those that donated their time. Many of the participants were not even members of the department and that generosity is greatly appreciated.
We truly hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and we hope to see all of our friends again soon.
